Hoya 52mm HMC 25A Red Filter

Hoya 52mm HMC 25A Red Filter

    Hoya HMC 25A Red Filter

The Hoya 25A red filter is especially effective for increasing contrast in black & white photography. Ideal for dramatic cloud effects in landscapes, due to it’s blocking of the color blue rendering those areas of the sky darker. It can also be applied creatively in color and infrared photography. The 25A blocks over 90% of the light below 650mn, transmitting only red.

For Color Photography: While this filter was designed for black & white photography, it can be used with color film to produce a specific color effect.

Hoya HMC 25A filters are manufactured in Japan using hand-selected silicates that are carefully smelted and blended to yield high-performance optical glass. Hoya then applies 6-layers of a Super Multi-Coating (SMC) formula which greatly reduces or eliminates reflections on the surface of the glass. This means the filter has virtually no unwanted effect on color, contrast, or clarity of the final image.

The filter features a lightweight standard aluminum frame to house the glass (Ø46mm - Ø82mm sizes) and signature Hoya casing.
